UGANDA IMPACT POWERS UP - EMAIL FROM BISHOP PATRICK OKABE
We are now in the final stages of preparation for our trip to Uganda to work with Bishop Patrick Okabe and his wife, Christine. We will be putting regular posts on this site from now on to let you know what is happening. The very next post will be a full copy of our ministry program. I thought you might be interetested in this email from Patrick.
Dear Pastor Brian,
We have had a great service too this Sunday Morning and I am getting ready for the evening service. We had a full church and we prayed for you and the team to arrive safely and to be used by the Lord when you are here.
All the arrangements for the conference and Crusade are now done. We have Posters and banners every where in every street and every corner. Announcements are running on all Radio stations in the town. This will be the largest Christian event ever to take place in this town. All the Pastors of different church denominations have come to support us( Over 100 churches). We are looking forward to a great harvest of souls for the Kingdom of God.
One thing I didn't mention to you is that we have also arranged for water baptism on Sunday 16th. We will conduct it. We have constructed a pool by the church.
All our churches of Impact Ministries which number over 30 will be coming together for this service.
This will also be a service for our aniversary to mark
7 years since our church was launched on 18th July 1999.
Before I started Impact Ministries I was a Principal of a Bible school. I left in march 1999, and started planting Faith churches. In the last 7 years our church has grown to be the largest in Eastern Region of Uganda and we have over 30 branch churches. We hold the largest single all night prayer meeting evry First Friday of the night in our town. You will be our guset speaker in Next Friday. You will be tired so we have arranged for you to be in the night prayer meeting till 12.00 am, then you can go and sleep. We thank God for His grace and Power which has enabled us to carry out the great commission.
Note there will be a march for Jesus on Monday 10th at 3.00 pm. beginning from the conference venue to the Crusade venue.
We too feel priviledged to host you in our house.
Thank you for the sound system.
We look forwad to seeing you
Patrick & Christine

While on my practical mission field in Calfornia USA, where I am currently based, I came accross the success story of impact ministries under Bishop Patrick Okabe.I have known Patrick as avery patient man who has learnt to work under challenges in ministry with limited resources and yet he is focused on the real mission that we were commanded to accomplish. Math.chap28:18-20. It is amazing his ministry is rapidly growing and my prayer is that, He considers to desciple christians who have heard the message of salvation through his ministry. He should also continue to press on to reach to the lost and the unchurched. It is time to take the Gospel to villages which had slightly been neglected because most Pastors had a vision within the urban setting. We must remember Our Lord frequented villages more than cities infact he had more enemies in the cities than villages.Another issue at hand is for Okabe to advocate for all the Spirit filled churches to operate as a boby of Christ, currently there is alot of competetion amongst churches and we need to eliminate that element of pride and the subsquent recyling of Christians our target as a church is those souls that are unchurched. I trust and know Bishop Okabe is influncial in this area and I know God wants to use him more than before in mbale, Kumi, Soroti and beyond. So many families are still suffering from the past in those districts and no doubt your ministry could achieve inner healing for all. Several churches as we know mushroomed in mbale city but have now slowed down because they have not only lacked a strategy but have also lost focus. After my Phd in Fuller semenary=Calfornia,I am eager to come home to share the challenges in ministry because my Phd Thesis is on Church growth. Patrick Iam really impressed by your hard work and thanks for sending omoding to study in Australia for purposes of ministry you have invested wisely. May God bless you/ My e-mail adress is georgemukalu@yahoo.com Please any querries do not hesitate to contact me. Remember I left London and Iam now in Calfornia God bless you yours Rev.Georgio Mukalu, Mukalu- Lo'Korupe Serere Uganda.
